Q: My child constantly cries that I am not getting them a cell phone. I am getting annoyed and I am getting ready to give in.
A: children are by nature suppose to test the parents limits. You make the rules and do not give in. Once you give in you have given up your strength and now the child nows where the week spots are. What to tell the child: Your Father/Mother and I have made rules for this house. Tell your child the rule on Cell phones or any other rules you want to tell them. and tell your child, "when you are old enough to get a job and move out on your own you can make your own rules and get what you feel you need then. For now you are under our roof and you follow our rules." They may cry and do more to test your authority but never give in. This will creat children with character instead of a Entitled child.
